During this Holy Week I thought It would be interesting to read a chronological reading of the events on the days they happened. So for the next week, the gospel accounts of the different days will be posted here in the blog. Some will be here in their entirety to read. others will just be the reference for you to look up and read if you desire. May these reading help you to remember to tremendous sacrifice Jesus Christ made for you, and to embrace the grace He offers via the cross.

Matthew 27:57-61

Jesus Is Buried

57  When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus. 58 He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him.59 And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen shroud 60 and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock. And he rolled a great stone to the entrance of the tomb and went away.61 Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, sitting opposite the tomb.

More accounts can be read here: Mark 15:42-47, Luke 23:50-54, and John 19:38-42.
